Your academic integrity guide

You might be at a point in the semester where you’re juggling a lot of different assignments at once. We get it! The last thing we want is for you to think about taking short-cuts like these that lead to academic dishonesty.

  • Cheating on an academic evaluation or assignment.
  • Plagiarizing.
  • Academic deceit, such as fabricating data or information.
  • Aiding academic integrity policy violations and inappropriately collaborating.
  • Falsifying academic records.

It’s important to understand what an academic integrity violation means. At ASU academic dishonesty can result in grade penalties to disqualification and dismissal. The ASU community is here to help you stay informed and to provide resources to avoid these kinds of violations. Review the academic integrity guide closely.

The stress of completing assignments on time, maintaining a GPA and passing a class can be overwhelming. Remember that ASU offers resources to support your mental health and wellness

There are different kinds of peer pressure. If classmates ask you to share your work, you have the right to say no. Don’t risk everything you’ve already accomplished academically. Keep the integrity tips in mind as you finish out the semester and join fellow Sun Devils in taking ASU’s Honor Code pledge to uphold the values, principles, and ethics of academic integrity.
